I came across this web accessibility infographic recently and, although it’s really written for web designers, it will be helpful for those of you developing e-learning too. It’s from an organisation called Webaim and there’s lots of other useful stuff in the resources section of their site so it’s worth taking a look if you want to make your e-learning more accessible. Happy World Book Day!
If you have school-age children you’ve probably been making something with them to take to school or dressing them up to celebrate World Book Day. My daughter’s school are having a hat competition and we had great fun making this hat inspired by ‘The Snail and The Whale’ by Julia Donaldson – it’s one of my favourite books to read to read to the kids.

Why are many managers reluctant to carry out Appraisals? Well, there are of course many reasons but we’ve found that when it gets down to it most of them are nervous about it and don’t feel confident in their ability to handle difficulties that can crop up.

As a Dim Dim user I was disapointed to get that email recently saying that Salesforce.com had bought them. And (surprise, surprise) no more free accounts! Want to know how to communicate more effectively?
If you deliver any kind of presentations it’s likely that you have a favourite filler word or noise that you’ve got into the habit of using. You may not even realise you do it but your audience certainly will. And instead of really focussing on your presentation they will be distracted by these habits and could even miss crucial information.
